Privacy policy

This policy applies to the websites, applications and AI assistant operated by SerenQuant (the Service). We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

We collect information you provide to us, information generated when you use the Service, and information from services you choose to connect. This includes:

• Account information, such as your email address, phone number, password and profile details.
• Information from connected services, such as the account identifier and email address provided by a sign-in provider you choose.
• Content you provide, such as portfolios, watchlists, strategies, requests to the AI assistant and files you upload.
• Brokerage information, such as account, holdings and order information, if you choose to connect a brokerage account.
• Content you choose to publish, such as a public profile or research you share.
• Technical and usage information, such as IP address, device and browser information, sign-in activity and, where you permit it, diagnostic and analytics data.
• Communications, such as messages you send to our support team.

We use personal information to:

• provide, maintain and improve the Service;
• create and secure your account and verify your identity;
• respond to your requests and communicate with you about the Service;
• detect, prevent and investigate fraud, abuse and security incidents;
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

When you use the AI assistant, your request and the information needed to respond to it, which may include earlier messages, attachments, saved preferences and portfolio information, are processed by third-party AI model providers acting on our behalf. AI-generated responses may be inaccurate; verify important information before relying on it.

We share personal information with service providers that process it on our behalf under contract, for purposes such as hosting, data storage, communications, security, AI features, diagnostics and analytics, and sign-in. A list of these providers is available on request.

We may also disclose information:

• when you choose to make content public or share it with others;
• where required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or SerenQuant;
• in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

Your information may be stored and processed in countries other than the one in which you live, including countries whose data protection laws differ from yours. Where required by law, we take appropriate measures to protect information transferred internationally.

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After that, we retain it only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, such as complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, preventing abuse and enforcing our agreements, and then delete or anonymize it. Residual copies may remain in backups for a limited period.

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, obtain a copy of it, restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent. You can manage much of your information and your communication and analytics preferences in your account settings.

To make a request, contact us at privacy@serenquant.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate the Service, such as keeping you signed in and remembering your preferences. Where required, we ask for your consent before using optional analytics. We do not use advertising cookies.

We use administrative, technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however. If a security incident affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and, if the changes are material, provide additional notice as required by law.
